We are stronger together!
Welcome from the beautiful Kitsap Peninsula! Moms for Liberty-Kitsap is a tremendous group of moms, dads, grands, aunts, uncles, and community members dedicated to fighting for parental rights in five school districts across our county. We serve a unique community of civilian, active duty, and retired veteran families who want the very best for their children’s education. Our chapter members represent public, private, homeschool, and charter school families.
Moms for Liberty Kitsap was the FIRST chapter in Washington state. We are proud to have blazed the trail for an additional eight chapters across the state including Whitman, Benton, Snohomish, Pierce, Spokane, King, Chelan-Douglas, and Yakima counties--and counting!
The past two years have been incredible years of growth and networking across Kitsap county and beyond. We have partnered with several outstanding individuals and fellow parental rights champions such as Conservative Ladies of Washington and Gays Against Groomers Washington. Locally, we have held workshops and educational opportunities as well as candidate forums and family events. We have focused heavily on building relationships through outreach as we live our Mission, Vision, and Values out loud.
Join 130,000 members in 300 chapters across 47 states as we fight for the survival of America!
Are Kitsap 3rd Graders Learning to Read?
The 2023 test scores show little to no improvement in most of the elementary schools across the county. While there is some improvement for a a couple schools in Kitsap in 2023, you need to keep this important fact in mind: 2/3 of America's fourth graders cannot read at grade level. This means that there are thousands of third graders passed along without being able to read.
Third grade reading scores are one of the biggest indicators of how a child will succeed in school. It is a glimpse into a child's academic success, their behavior, and their attendance. If our children cannot read, they cannot function in the real world going on to bright futures in college, the trades, the work force, the military, or everyday life.
We must do better in public education. Our children deserve better. Never be afraid to ask why. Your tax dollars fund public education. You play a critical role as parents in the upbringing of YOUR children and your children deserve the very best--all children do. Public education must return to the business of academics!
Here are the scores for Kitsap County from 2023 as well as the 2022 scores for comparison.
