A controversial Republican politician made an appearance in the Rocket City on Saturday.

Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke at the Moms for Liberty second annual fundraiser dinner.

She covered several topics through her keynote speech at Brewers Cooperative. Greene began her speech by remarking on the negative community response to her presence. Protesters greeted Greene as she arrived and, a day before, violent graffiti was painted on the building where she spoke.“Think about this, the communists are outside,” Greene said, referring to protesters. “The communists are out there, but they’re attacking us inside and calling us fascists. She then went on to discuss the Jan. 6 attempted insurrection in the Capitol.

“I wasn’t even sworn in yet, but there was one thing I knew, is I knew that they stole our election, and I knew that Donald Trump is our president, was our president,” she said. “I knew he had won, because I’d been on the ground everywhere, and I was like, we’re gonna fight for this.”
