Moms for Liberty Challenges Teachers Union to Debate
MELBOURNE, FL - Today, Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice challenged American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten to a televised debate about the failing education system in New York City on January 18, 2024 on a national news network of Weingarten’s choice - even her favorite MSNBC.
Moms for Liberty Co-Founder Tiffany Justice said, “Randi Weingarten says she represents 1.7 million K-12 public school teachers and supposedly advocates for high quality education, yet she manages to continually ignore the fact that only 33% of fourth graders are reading on grade level. The American public education system is failing, and will continue to fail until someone says enough is enough.
“As President of AFT, Randi Weingarten owes students and their parents real answers. She claims to share a passion for education, so I sincerely hope she is ready to answer the questions of parents across the country - why are we being cut out of our children’s schools?; and why are students performing at the lowest academic levels in US history?
“I will be in New York City on January 18th and I will be happy to debate Randi Weingarten at any national news station of her choice - even her favorite MSNBC. It is time for her to take responsibility for the damage done to children’s education. We will be waiting for her reply.”
