Moms for Liberty CA goes to Sacramento
In June, Moms Liberty chapters from all over the state of California, Nevada and Oregon came to Sacramento for leadership training. This was the same week that the State Legislature was voting on AB 1955. Even though AB 1955 passed, the chapter chairs went to the Capitol and participated in the press conference and made public comments to stand up and fight for our kids. This fight isn't over!

Moms For Liberty Summit In Washington DC
LA County Chair, Karen Frost will be representing the LA County Chapter at this year's summit in Washington DC. This is going to be a wonderful oppoturnity to network with other chapters, get training from the National Team and participate in the very first, March For Kids on Saturday August 31st. There have been marches for just about every cause, but this is the first march ever for KIDS. The march will bring together Moms for LIberty, Gays Against Groomers, the 917 Society, Parents United and approx 20 other parental rights orgarinzations. The March Captains are Dr. Alveda King, Glen Beck and Tulsi Gabbard. For more information this important march, you can go to marchforkids.com

Every year Moms for Liberty nationally requests that each chapter recognize their members who exemplify the qualities of our Founding Mothers. We are very proud to announce our own Lydia McLaughlin was selected as a Semi-finalist for a Founder's Award. We are so proud of the work that she has done and continues to do to support families that are struggling with gender identity issues. Lydia is a wonderful advocate for parents that will love their kids that believes, "No Child Is Born In The Wrong Body."

We are please to announce Charter Member Celina Lugo is the LA County Moms for Liberty Member of the Quarter. Celina joined in November 2023 when the chapter launched, She has been vital to connecting the leadership team members of her community, and advocating for the M4L values. She's a fierce advocate for her own little family and is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She supports many different projects in her communtiy from getting out the vote to supporting our vetrans. When the leadership team found ourself in pinch, we called Celina and asked her if she would help out at an outreach event in Orange County. She didn't hesitate for minute and stepped right in to help out. We are so thankful to have Celina as part of our LA County Chapter!

Title IX Update
If you have not yet heard, we have HUGE NEWS – we have a WIN! The court just ruled in our favor on the preliminary injunction against the Biden Administration Title IX changes. Title IX was written in 1972 to protect girls and women's access to equal educaiton and sport activities. On Aug 1, 2024 the defintion was changed to inclued "Gender Identity". Moms for Liberty has won a preliminary injunction from the new definition being enforced on our members. To take advantage of this coverage, you will need to Opt-In on your Moms for Liberty profile. Moms for Liberty Continues to GROW!
Over the last two months, our little chapter has. grown to over 165 Members! As we continue to grow, we will look to establish Districts within the county so members will have an opportunity to network with others in their on neighborhood. LA County is proud to annouce a new District in Long Beach that is being spear-headed by a wonderful mom named Maureen Quinn. Maureen expemplifies what it means to be a "Joyful Warrior." She is a fierce advocate for common sense, paretal rights and excellence in education. That approximatley a 45% increase over the last quarter. More and more Moms, Dads and Grandparents are fighting against government overreach and standing up for. quality educaiton for our children. We are so happy to have her on our Moms for LIberty team. Members Running for Higher Office
We are pleased to share that charter member Paul Jones is running for State Assembly in his Downey neighborhood. Paul and his lovely wife Doris are founding members our chapter and have been strong voices in standing up for parental rights. Paul made it through the primary and will be on the general ballot in November. While Moms for Liberty can only officially endorse school board candidates, The LA County team highly recommends getting to know Paul Jones and supporting him in this very important election cycle.
