I hope you are staying warm as termination dust hits the tops of the mountains and the crisp air fills our rosey noses. We accomplished a lot in September and we are making big plans for October!
Chapter chair, Gabby Ide spoke to the school board about the weak rewrite of Dave Donley's patriotic activities proposal by member Carl Jacobs. Ide shared serious concerns about the unexplained nothing sandwich that came out of the Governance Committee after Donley's original proposal was approved and recommend to the board in May. The next ASD School Board meeting is coming fast, October 1. Join us and make some noise for partiotic activites at Anchorage district schools. You can also comment on ASD's DEI department guidelines that keep teachers from sharing critical mental health information from parents about their children.
A HUGE thank you to Vice Chair, Doug Weimann, Treasurer, Maureen Crumley, and volunteers for getting pocket Constitutions to over 3000 eighth graders within ASD ahead of Constitution Day, September 17! These amazing people put boots on the ground to equip teachers with tools to educate and celebrate what sets us apart as a nation: a republic by the people for the people. Come shake their hands at our next chapter meeting, 6 PM, October 10 at 1120 Huffman Rd., Ste. 11. We are honored to have special guest, Quincy Azimi-Tabrizi (AG Treg Taylor's daughter), from Americans For Prosperity Alaska share her expertise working with elected officials to expand freedom and opportunities for all.
Moms For Liberty Anchorage was recognized at Alaska Family Council's "Why Worldview Matters" event for infusing our community with information and inspiration to protect parental rights at all levels of government. This was truly a life giving evening filled with generous, kind hard working people, dedicated to truth, building relationships, and empowering others. Our chapter is growing thanks to wonderful partnerships with like minded organizations so that we can truly see a future where Americans are empowered and thriving in a culture of liberty.
Our chapter has an opportunity to connect with 250+ community members during the Alaskans For Freedom event, October 26, 2024 at the Eagan center. This full day event includes a hot plated lunch and nine incredible speakers including our own Dr. Ilona Farr on solutions after Covid, Dr. Ryan Cole on a strange cancer trend, and Dr. James Lindsay on the effects of culture wars on our children.
