Greetings, Joyful Warriors!

☀️ Summer is in full swing and we are THRILLED about some upcoming events we want to share with you!

CALLING ALL JOYFUL WARRIORS... JOIN US IN THE PARADE!!!!

There are few things more patriotic than participating IN your hometown Independence Day Parade.  It's SO fun!!!

Our chapter needs ALL MOMS on deck (plus Dads & kids), decked out in M4L gear, red, white and blue, THIS Friday, July 4th.  It's an early start (6:30am arrival), but we will beat the heat (thank goodness!) and have a FABULOUS time.  We will be handing out bags of candy and American flags to kids throughout the parade route, so wear comfy shoes and a big, Joyful Warrior smile!

FUN FACT:  Did you know there are around 30,000 people who come to watch the parade in Round Rock?  It's even televised on FOX7! This is great PR for the mission of Moms for Liberty and our chapter, so come one, come all!  Check out this 2023 video, our first year in the parade! We were just getting started and having a great time.

BLESS A TEACHER...

On August 2nd, Moms for Liberty Williamson County will be co-hosting a wonderful event that celebrates TEACHERS (and school support staff) and lifts their spirit!  EDify will provide FREE breakfast, childcare, prayer and worship, guest speakers, prizes and FREE classroom suppies.  Please help us get the word out and share this event with teachers.  You can follow EdifyEducatorConference on Facebook, Instagram and on X.  Like, follow and share the posts.

We need volunteers on August 1st and 2nd. Please plan to help us set up the night before and greet & serve food on Saturday, August 2nd.  You will be super blessed!

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE - PARENTS MATTER!

WOW!  The 89th Legislative Session was a WIN for Parental Rights!  The state of Texas passed:

SB 2 - School Choice, Education Savings Accounts (ESAs)

SB 10 - 10 Commandments to be hung in every classroom if gifted to school

SB 11 - allows prayer in school during school hours

SB 12 - Parental Bill of Rights, ends DEI, GSA Clubs, social transitioning of minors

SB 13 - Additional Guardrails for School Library Materials

and so much more!

JUNE IS PARENTAL RIGHTS MONTH - SIGN THE PARENT PLEDGE!

This month we are reflecting on 100 years since the US Supreme Court ruled that a child is not a mere creature of the state and PARENTS have the fundamental right to direct the education of their children.  When the government creeps in and attempts to overstep Parental Rights, we must act.  This is why the mission of Moms for Liberty is strong and relevant.  We must stand for Parental Rights in education and in all areas.

Have YOU signed the Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge?  If not, today is the day!

1. Print & Sign

Pledge for Citizens (Momss & Dads)

Pledge for Candidates and Elected Officials

2. Take a photo holding your pledge (bonus points if wearing M4L shirt/hat)

3. Share with us!  Post online or email to [email protected]

We will resume with our regular monthly meetings in August.  We traditionally meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, but that falls on the first day of school for a lot of families.  Instead, we will meet on August 19th.  RSVP HERE
