Board Meeting

You may attend school board meetings in-person or virtually from home via Microsoft Teams.

* In-person attendance is limited to boardroom capacity of 70 audience members per the Colorado Springs Fire Marshall.

* Note, those who attend in person may be captured on camera during the live feed and recorded versions of the meeting.

* The meeting link will be available the week of the meeting.

We invite public comment at our meetings.

* You must sign-up to speak between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., the day of the board meeting by completing our Public Comment Form.

* You must be present and available to speak in-person at the podium when called upon.

* You cannot provide virtual public comment.

* If you cannot attend in-person, we invite you to submit your comments in writing via the Public Comment Form. Written comments submitted through the Public Comment Form will not be read publicly at the board meeting, but they will be included as part of the public record in the minutes for the meeting.

Board Meeting

Board of Education Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m., on the second Thursday of each month. Board of Education Work Sessions are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of the month unless otherwise noted.  
 
Board of Education Meetings are being held at the Creekside Success Center's Peakview Hall, 3850 Pony Tracks Drive, Colorado Springs, CO.

Colorado's Open Meetings Law requires full and timely notice to the public when a quorum of the board is gathering and "public business is discussed or at which any formal action may be taken." C.R.S. 24-6-402. One or more members of the School District 49 board of education will be attending the Vista Ridge High School 3.75 event on April 17, 2024. The purpose of this event is to acknowledge and congratulate those students earning a 3.75 GPA. It is not to conduct public business of the local district or engage in formal action. While notice is not required pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402, the board believes in transparency and therefore is providing this information regarding the event.
