Board Meeting

This is the official M4LHC Chapter Event for the bi-weekly School Board Meeting of the Hernando County School District (HCSD).

Every two weeks (minus the annual budget and operational meetings) the HCSD hosts two public meetings of the School Board. A 2:00 p.m. Workshop Meeting and a 6:00 p.m. Regular Board Meeting.
Regardless if you have a child enrolled in the District, as a taxpayer you have a right to attend either meeting, and if you feel comfortable enough to do so, you can make a public statement at the Regular 6:00 p.m. Meeting during public comments.

🗽 SPEAKING 🗽
During the Regular 6:00 p.m. Meeting you can speak for a total of 3:00 minutes on any topic (pink sheets) or specific agenda items (green sheets). You can also speak on a pink sheet item and a green sheet item, however you will need to split your time between both (1:30 each).

The only exceptions to this 3:00-minute rule are when a book is challenged or when a budget hearing is held. During a book challenge or a budget hearing, citizens can speak for 3:00 minutes on the budget, 3:00 minutes on a book challenge, and then can speak for another 3:00 minutes during citizen comments (pink or green sheets).

If you wish to speak remember to fill out a pink sheet (any topic) or green sheet (agenda item, book challenges, or budget hearing) and turn in your sheet before they start calling names. There is a cut-off as to when they will accept speakers.

🗽 ATTENDANCE 🗽
Our Chapter STRONGLY encourages all concerned citizens, especially parents and grandparents who have children enrolled in the HCSD to attend the 6:00 p.m. meeting.

Members and others who wear Moms for Liberty gear should regardless of what the K-12 Cartel (union and their trolls) decide to do, remain respectful joyful warriors!

If you can't make it to a meeting but would like to listen in remotely then you are in luck! The HCSD live streams all of the bi-weekly School Board Meetings. Click here for a link to the livestream -- > https://hernandoschools.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx

(Make sure to select 2024 and then choose the correct Livestream)

🚸 WARNING 🚸

We strongly encourage those who attend the bi-weekly HCSD School Board Meeting to refrain from bringing their children. This is not a child-friendly environment.

Projects & Special …

Join us as we enjoy refreshments, socialize, and make a plan to help elect school board candidates who will support students and teachers, promote strong foundational education principles, defend parental rights, encourage unity instead of division, and support a safe environment for students and teachers.

The August 1 election will determine who serves as board members for six of the twelve districts in Williamson County.  School board members have a great deal of power over the education system and vote on issues that directly impact you and your family.  It is important that the best candidates win!

HELP MAKE THAT HAPPEN!

IMPORTANT ELECTION INFO:
