Justin Malone is a Dallas-based filmmaker known for his work as a director, writer, editor, and cinematographer.
After studying film at Full Sail University, Malone founded Malone Pictures, a motion picture production company at the age of 22. His early works, The Bus Stop, Blue, and Hurry Up and Wait, achieved significant success on the film festival circuit, earning awards and recognition at renowned festivals such as Nashville, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Williamsburg, Newport, and The USA Film Festival.
Malone’s last two films achieved both domestic and international acclaim. Uncle Tom: An Oral History of the American Black Conservative was Malone’s first major film release that ranked #1 Documentary on IMDb. The initial release led to the development of the highly anticipated sequel, Uncle Tom II: An American Odyssey. This follow-up captivated audiences, garnering millions of views on premier streaming platforms including Apple, Amazon, and Vudu.
The Uncle Tom franchise has established Malone as a preeminent documentarian. Malone’s next film, Comrade Yuri: A KGB Confession, is set to release in early 2025.
