Gender 101: Gender Ideology

Description

Twenty years ago, Gender Ideology was barely a topic of discussion, let alone a major political issue. While figures like RuPaul were well-known for their gender non-conformity, their promotion of drag culture was far from the transgender advocacy we see today. It wasn’t until 2015, with the debut of I Am Jazz on TLC and Caitlyn Jenner being named Glamour’s Woman of the Year, that the transgender and gender ideology movements truly entered the mainstream and began to reshape American society.

But where did this shift come from? Like all cultural movements, gender ideology has been quietly evolving in the background, steadily gaining visibility until it suddenly exploded into the spotlight. This swift change has left many wondering: How did we get here? How is it that concepts like sex and gender, once considered fundamental biological truths, have become so debated that even a Supreme Court Justice nominee struggles to define them?

Gender Ideology goes far beyond simply suggesting a new, “expanded” perspective – it is an attack on truth itself. Join us for Gender 101, where we will learn about the origins of this ideology, how it spread like wildfire as a social contagion, and a true examination of sex and gender.
