***Also, please note that we are collecting items for Thornwood Elementary's 5th Grade Auction/Market.  Thornwood is a TItle 1 School in Spring Branch ISD, and the auction gives the students a chance to purchase Christmas gifts for their family members using tickets that they earn for good behavior.  Please help us make this a wonderful experience for them by donating items that can be used in their "store".  More info below!

It’s time to get ready for the annual Thornwood Elementary 5th Grade Holiday Market!

5th graders get tickets throughout the year for good behavior, good grades and good choices. They use these tickets to shop the market for gifts for their families.

If you are cleaning out before the holidays, please consider donating new and like new items here (please make sure they are clean and in good shape as the kids are proud to give these gifts). Most items are welcome as students buy for parents, siblings, grandparents, etc.

Here are some suggestions for donations:

· Footballs, basketballs, soccer balls

· Reusable water bottles

· Art supplies (colored pencils, notebooks, markers, paint)

· Stickers

· Hair clips, headbands, etc.

· Jewelry

· Books

· Jackets (hoodies, zip up)

· Shoes

· Nail polish/make up

· Mechanical pencils

· Headphones

**Also collecting cash to buy gift cards to McDonald’s so the kids can get meals while on break.

A great store for some of these items is Five Below!

More info:

· Holiday wrapping (paper, gift bags, To/From stickers, tissue, ribbon, bows in addition to boxes of all sizes to wrap items in) is wonderful as well as there are volunteer elves who help sort and wrap donations.

· Collections over four weeks (11/03 – 12/12) as they sort and set up the items for the market.

· Deliveries can be made to Alondra and Tyler Knighton or brought to the November 19 Chapter Meeting.  To drop items off to the Knightons, please email Alondra at [email protected]
