Hello [firstname], Do you feel it? A slight fresh breeze going by? A hint of hope and good things to come?
* Many Title IX lawsuits filed very quickly and many states are already declaring they won’t comply; many judges concurring. * Some school boards in Texas are voluntarily cleaning up their libraries. * Data coming out of Europe shows that the medical gender transitioning of minors is harming them further, not helping them * Encouraging SCOTUS rulings on Chevron Deference (Federal Agencies don’t have the right to make up their own laws when Congress hasn’t acted) and Presidential Immunity have recently come out. * DEI is biting the dust here and there. * 52 MILLION people watched the Presidential Debate of 2 candidates that haven’t even been nominated yet. * Calls for the 25th Amendment are emerging after the disastrous debate. * MANY conservative groups are organizing better than ever before to register voters, reach out to specialized voting groups, get out the vote.
But these are all a call to fight even harder, not rest on the hope that it will all work out, that the pendulum will swing back on it’s own. These are a call to vigorously fan the spark into a flame before it sputters and dies in the face of the great evils we are standing up to.
Please join us to work together to have a greater effect in our “swim lane” - parental rights in schools: * The right to know what is going on with your child when they are in counseling or other health services. * The right to know what books they are reading. * The right to know if they are being taught in "media literacy" that they should not question the MSM. * The right to know if they are being surveyed, with the answers being recorded to be carried in a “digital backpack” the rest of their lives (in databases often owned by the Chinese or other nefarious groups). * The right to know if they are being taught that they are Oppressed and can never succeed, and will always be dependent on government to protect them. * The right to know if they are being taught that they are Oppressors and there can never be any redemption for their “original sin.” * The right to know if they are being taught that the only redemption they have from being “born into the wrong body and family” is to create a new fantasy identity with a built-in new highly-affirming family.
And then there is the right to expect your child to be taught to read, write, do math, and think logically. Everything else that is taught pushes these subjects out of the way. Literacy in Hays County schools ranges from miserable to better-than-average-but-still-not-great.
Without lots of well-informed parental eyes and ears in the schools, these offenses against parental rights are hard to find. They lurk in the hidden corners of school rooms and in efforts to “predict suicide.” They are carefully taught in today’s Teaching Universities - how to push Marxism and hide it from parents - just like in every other pillar of our society. Many teachers out there refuse to go along - but see it happening around them. Most School Boards probably don’t even realize where these offenses are hiding. Unless you find them and tell them.
We are in our EDUCATE & BUILD ERA. By this Fall we need to be in our ACT ERA. WE ARE THE JOYFUL WARRIORS!!
So please come join us - to get educated - to help fight - to donate so we can hold community seminars and outreaches - to search school libraries online for pervasively vulgar books (we know the titles) - to attend school board meetings and committees all over the county and report on them to the community. We need many skills - social media, newsletter writing, membership coordinators, fundraising, event management, speakers, smiling faces in seats at school board meetings.
We need you!! Amanda Bohm, Chair
School Committees
Would you be willing to help in this way?
Our chapter really needs teams to cover school board meetings in the 4 main school districts: Dripping Springs, Hays Consolidated, Wimberley and San Marcos. The more consistently we show our faces there, the more they will listen to us when an issue arrises. Otherwise, we are a random stranger showing up to criticize them, not a partner. Often, when they start to recognize you, they will come down and introduce themselves at breaks, or stand around and chat at the end. WE NEED THESE RELATIONSHIPS!
Attending school committee meetings is another key part of this puzzle.
Here is a great article explaining committee involvement. “Many committees are looking for relevant expertise, skills and experience tied to the topic and purpose of the committee. Parents have a front row seat to what is really happening in the school. Don’t discount that as “relevant experience.” Many committees have lots of representation from within the school system – teachers, counselors, PTA leaders, union members – but are lacking in parents and community members who bring diversity of viewpoint to the table. Our schools need to hear from ALL stakeholders and that includes parents who may or may not share the same views as the current school board chair or superintendent. Parents bring a unique and invaluable perspective to the conversation."

Please let us know if you can help with either attending school board meetings or committees!!
Education As A Battleground
Larry P. Arnn, President of the bastion of education, Hillsdale College, wrote this brilliant essay Education As A Battleground. It brings together many issues I have briefly expressed in this newsletter. I hope you will take the time to read it and meditate on all of them. But here is a quick summary:
Public School Administrators are an extension of the ruling class of America. The more Administrators there are, the more the Administrators will try to compete with parents for power over how and what our children learn. “Who owns American children?” Or “more catastrophically in the question: who decides what we tell children about sex?”
Another favorite line: “children, by distorting their natural desire to grow up and end their independence, can be recruited to the purposes of despotic regimes, even to the extent of denouncing their parents to the state.”
Arnn concludes: “parents . . . will give their lives to support the child for as long as it takes and longer - . . . the educational bureaucracy . . . is more likely . . . to look upon the child as an asset in a social engineering project to rearrange government and society.”

Moms for Liberty concludes: We DO NOT COPARENT with The Government!
Please come help us get that message out.

The NIH admits that gender afirming care does not lower suicide risk: "Individuals who underwent gender-affirming surgery had a 12.12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who did not (3.47% vs. 0.29%, RR 95% CI 9.20-15.96, p < 0.0001)."
