Radio City

Hello,

As we reach the end of the school year, students will begin bringing home workbooks and assignments. Please save any ELA, Math, History or Science workbooks issued by WCPSS (any grade level) as we would like to review current curriculum. Bring them to our next chapter meeting or reach out to me.

Our next chapter meeting is next week, May 14th. And looking further ahead, we will have our annual chapter meeting in September. We are looking to expand the chapter’s board, please reach out to me at [email protected] to find out more information.

This week will be very active at the legislature as May 8th, called “crossover” is approaching. This is the date that a House bill must cross over to the Senate, or a Senate bill cross over to the House. Be on the lookout for potential calls to action this week,

In Liberty,

Becky

Parent's Medical Bill of Rights

The Parents Medical Bill of Rights corrects the current NC statute that interferes with Parental Rights and the medical care of their children. Current Statute (GS 90-21.5) allows minors to get treatment for substance abuse, pregnancy, emotional disturbance or venereal diseases WITHOUT parental consent or knowledge. In fact, if your child is being treated for any of these, doctors WILL WITHHOLD these records from you about your child. Please call or email the committee members about this.

The House Rules Committee is meeting Monday at 4pm in the Auditorium of the Legislative Building. They do not typically allow public comment during this committee meeting, but if you can attend, please wear your Moms for Liberty gear. Please call or write to seek support for this bill (see member list HERE).  When it passes this committee, it will go to the House floor.
