Kirk Cameron is heading back out on the road to team up with Moms for Liberty in another story hour, saying he hopes to “rejuvenate” those who are “weary and burdened by the state of our culture.”

Cameron will be at Gallery Furniture in Richmond, Texas, a suburb of Houston, on Saturday. He will be joined by Moms for Liberty’s Harris County Chapter and Jim McIngvale, who is also known for his Gallery Furniture commercials as “Mattress Mack.”

“I can’t wait to read to families in the Houston area and bring them a message of hope and revival in our public spaces,” Cameron told the Washington Examiner. “Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’ Whether you come to find physical rest on Mack’s mattresses or spiritual rest for your soul, this story hour is sure to give you both.”

“So, come all who are weary and burdened by the state of our culture and rejuvenate your souls with us on Saturday!” Cameron added.

Families who attend will hear Cameron read his children’s book As You Grow, which was released by BRAVE Books in December 2022. Additionally, they will share in a time of music, crafts, and prayer.

Moms for Liberty’s Harris County Chapter Chairwoman Denise Bell said she is excited to provide an event for families that highlights “wholesome literature, educational material, and entertainment.”

“Parents are hungry for quality products that help their children thrive, and we are thankful that Brave has accepted the call to serve children and families,” Bell said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

McIngvale also noted that he is proud to host such an event that promotes “God, duty, family and country.”

The event is set to begin at 10 a.m. Central. It is free and open to the public with no registration required.
