September 17th is designated as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day (36 U.S. Code §106) with the purpose of commemorating the signing of the US Constitution and recognizing all who are US citizens. All institutions, such as schools, that receive federal funding are required to hold programs to educate people regarding the US Constitution and citizenship.

Since its inception in 2021, Moms for Liberty Wake County has strived to educate Wake County Schools and the public about Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. To give students the tools they need this year, Moms for Liberty Wake County worked with volunteers to deliver US Constitutions to over 50 schools in Wake County.

In 2023, Moms for Liberty partnered with the 917 Society who generously provided durable, pocket-sized US Constitutions for students. That same year, Moms for Liberty Wake County delivered approximately 13,000 US Constitutions to students across Wake County.  Last week, Moms for Liberty Wake County volunteers delivered over 14,000 US Constitutions to 8th grade students across Wake County, including both traditional public and charter schools.

Moms for Liberty Wake County is thrilled to have an integral role in educating students about the founding of our great country as a Constitutional Republic with the principles of liberty, law, and limited government.
