Showing Up
Showing up is half the battle. It doesn’t always mean speaking, sometimes just being present sends a powerful message. Sherri Garrett is our chapter chair from Knox County, Tennessee. She’s a mom of five boys and a proud grandma to twelve. She has been serving as nurse for 37 years. Through these years of experience, Sheri learned skills that she is finding useful in her role as Moms for Liberty Chapter Chair and in advocating for the students and families in Knox County. She knows that you cannot be afraid to step up and advocate, even when it’s hard. And she knows that sometimes just showing up is everything.
