Special guest Ann Streit, the M4L Chapter Chair in King County, Washington, is a mom of two, a grandmother of four, and she spent over 30 years as a speech and language pathologist in public schools. Ann work tirelessly to shine a light on what’s really being taught in our classrooms. Did you know that timeless stories of courage and honor are being replaced with narratives centered on victimhood and depravity? Did you know that classic literature with rich vocabulary, complex sentences, and compelling storylines is increasingly being swapped for books that focus more on identity than ideas? Children are being offered stories to “see themselves in” rather than stories that challenge them to think beyond themselves. It is time to equip parents with the knowledge to recognize warning signs in curriculum and with a path forward to fix the problem and Ann is leading the way!
