The Duval County School Board held their regular board meeting on October 10, 2022. Attendees listened to over an hour of public comment by individuals and groups, many of whom receive funding directly from the school district, in support of comprehensive sex education. Comprehensive Sex Edcuation as a topic was not on the meeting agenda; the School Board was not going to discuss or vote on any such topic.
Moms for Liberty Duval's chapter chair, Becky Nathanson, was present to share pocket constitutions with School Board members and district leadership for their review, in hopes that we will be approved to give them to every DCPS 8th grader. However, before the pocket constitutions remarks, Becky addressed the board and public who seem to mistakenly believe that Moms for Liberty Duval opposes all sex ed.
