I am a mom of 5 boys that grew up in Carroll County, MD. I married a Howard County native that was raised in Woodbine and graduated from Glenelg in 1993. For many years, we lived in Georgia and North Carolina while my husband was serving active duty in the US Army as a Special Forces Medic. When he retired, we decided to bring our boys home to Maryland to be close to family and good schools. I have 2 high schoolers at Calvert Hall, one middle schooler and two elementary age boys in Carroll County Public Schools.
When COVID hit in 2020, I began to feel helpless. I felt my parental rights were being trampled on by government policies. I was upset when outside forces began to dictate if my kids could go to school and when or how often they required medical testing. I became especially vocal and outspoken about the masks and ridiculous quarantine policies being enforces at the public schools. I had known Kit Hart as an acquaintance in 2020 when we started to fight the battle against the masks and quarantines at the Board of Ed in Carroll County. Kit and I joined forces in 2021 and started the Carroll County chapter of Moms for Liberty and the rest is history. I have served as the Secretary for our chapter, and I am the current Vice Chair. I currently work as an RN at Sheppard Pratt and love to spend my free time on the sidelines watching my boys play football, lacrosse, basketball and wrestling.
