Come and support our local chapter of Moms for Liberty in the annual festival named after the flower loved by Pekin's favorite son, the late Senator Everett M. Dirksen.
Regarding parental rights, it was Senator Dirksen who was responsible for getting enough votes for the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The current Title IX controversity if founded upon this historic legislation.
