Alabama Moms For Liberty chair wins Republican runoff for state school board seat

A Moms for Liberty activist has won a Republican runoff to become the nominee for a north Alabama state board of education seat.
Emily Jones defeated William Matthews in Tuesday’s election to represent District 8 on the Alabama State Board of Education which encompasses Limestone, Dekalb, Madison and Jackson counties.
According to unofficial election night results from those counties, Jones won 54% of the vote while Matthews ended with 46%.
