VIDEO: America 250th Liberty Bash - Bay County
Moms for Liberty’s Bay County chapter hosted a 250th Liberty Bash today in Millville.
The event is simply a celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
The bash featured food vendors, booths from community organizations, plus activities for the kids.
Attendees even had a chance to grab pictures with Lady Liberty, Uncle Sam, and Ben Franklin.
Organizers of the event say that one of the most important parts of the event was making sure it was free for the community.
“I think it’s a very unifying time to have a free community event where families can come out, especially on Father’s Day weekend, to spend some quality time together and not have to drop a lot of money to do it,” said Moms for Liberty Bay County Chapter Chair Michelle Brown.
Attendees even had the chance to visit a dunk tank where a few local politicians were waiting to take a swim.
Organizers knew there would be plenty of events on the Fourth of July weekend, so having one a few weeks before would help kick-start the 250th birthday party a little early.
Moms for Liberty said they are always looking for more members to help bring events like this one to life.
