Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray drew a crowd at The Hangar in Bar Nunn on Monday night, where he used a town hall forum to champion conservative victories, criticize the media and state his opposition to the proposed Radiant nuclear manufacturing plant.

The event was hosted in conjunction with Liberty’s Place 4 U, Moms for Liberty and Natrona County Conservative Women.

Gray covered a number of subjects during his near 30-minute presentation, including the work he’s doing in the Secretary of State Office, as well as what his plans are in and for the future.

“Natrona County is so near and dear to my heart,” the secretary began. “I look out in the room and see my neighbors. … I see so many people who helped get us to where we are in the conservative movement today, in 2025. And when we think about, in 2016 when there were six conservatives in the State House and where we have come today where there’s 35 to 36 members of that legislature that are true conservatives, MAGA conservatives, it’s been a long journey.”

Gray continually called out a WyoFile reporter any time he spoke about the media and a perceived agenda the media has against him. Gray also spoke about what he called an “insider group,” consisting of the media, big money groups, “oftentimes the Chamber of Commerce,” and members of “the left.”

“If they lived in a blue state or a purple state, they’d be registered Democrat,” Gray said of the “radical left” in Wyoming. “But because in Wyoming, the Republican primary is where the action is at, there’s this sort of Democrat group that votes in the Republican Primary and it’s about 20–25% of the electorate.”

The secretary did not elaborate on where those figures came from. He added that “Democrats that have infiltrated the Republican party” vote in the Republican Primary.

“So that’s what we’re up against,” Gray said. “Now, what do we have? We have one big thing. We have God on our side. The truth. And we have the silent majority, which there is no doubt that the majority of Wyoming are conservative.”Gray spoke about some things he’s worked to accomplish in the Secretary of State Office, including his election integrity agenda for the 2025 legislative session and support of the Freedom Caucus that was launched in November 2024.
