The Los Angeles County chapter of Moms for Liberty raised hundreds of dollars for Santa Clarita Grocery during the annual KHTS Home and Garden Show, organizers announced this week.

The group participated in the event for another year, citing strong attendance, favorable weather and a wide variety of exhibits and food vendors at the show.

Each year, the organization selects a local charity to support during the event. This year, the chapter chose Santa Clarita Grocery, a nonprofit organization that assists families facing food insecurity throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.

To raise money, the group hosted a 50/50 opportunity drawing during the event, selling tickets for $5 each. Proceeds from the drawing were split evenly between one raffle winner and the selected charity.

One winner received a Trader Joe’s gift card valued at more than $200. Moms for Liberty then matched the charity’s portion of the proceeds, increasing the total donation to $400 for Santa Clarita Grocery.

“Santa Clarita Grocery Food Bank is deeply touched to receive the generous $400 grant from Moms for Liberty,” said Bradley Grose, founder of Santa Clarita Grocery. “We are grateful for partners who are committed to preserving parental rights and protecting children from curriculum overreach, helping safeguard the innocence of children.”

Santa Clarita Grocery was named the 2023 Santa Clarita Valley Charity of the Year. The organization provides food assistance to local families while emphasizing dignity and respect for those seeking help.
