Moms for Liberty Brevard to Host School Board Candidate Forum Thursday in Satellite Beach

Moms for Liberty Brevard County, FL will host a School Board Candidate Forum on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Satellite Beach Civic Center, located at 565 Cassia Blvd. in Satellite Beach.

The forum will give Brevard County voters an opportunity to hear directly from school board candidates about the issues shaping local education, including academic priorities, transparency, parental involvement, special needs, school choice, funding and the future direction of Brevard County schools.

Confirmed candidates include:
District 1: Tara Gibson and Megan Wright
District 2: Gene Trent
District 5: Cecilia Trotter and Tammy Dennis

The event will be moderated by Karen Fulton, Moms for Liberty Brevard Chapter Chair, and Maija Hahn, Children’s Health Defense FL & MAHA FL Coalition for Health Freedom Lead.

“School board elections have a direct impact on families, students, teachers, and taxpayers,” said Karen Fulton, Chapter Chair of Moms for Liberty Brevard.

“This forum is designed to help voters hear from the candidates in their own words, compare their priorities, and make an informed decision.”

The evening will include moderator-prepared questions for the candidates and as time allows, a selection of questions submitted by attendees.

Community members will have a chance to hear directly from the candidates on the issues that matter most to Brevard County families.

The event is open to the public.
