Moms for Liberty sues NJ school board over gender policies
The conservative group Moms for Liberty has sued the Chatham Board of Education because of the district's policy about respecting a child's gender identity, arguing it violates parents' rights.
Filed in federal court, the group said "activist school boards" are "interfering with the moral and religious" development of children by having gender expression policies in place. The board members and superintendent were also named in the suit.
