Trump to join Moms for Liberty for fireside chat

Moms for Liberty is hosting a summit in Washington, DC next week, and Friday will feature a fireside chat with co-founder Tiffany Justice and President Donald Trump. Trump will be addressing the summit earlier in the day, but the fireside chat is reminiscent of the years of FDR, when he addressed the nation from the White House. Comedian Rob Schneider will speak on Thursday.

Trump was just endorsed by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who suspended his campaign, taking his name off the ballot in 10 battleground states, to back Trump for president. Schneider is a storied comedian who has bucked the progressive, Hollywood trends to speak out against the ill-fated direction the Democrat Party has taken and backed Trump. He's a free-speech advocate, like high-profile Trump supporter Elon Musk.

The Joyful Warriors Summit, say Moms for Liberty, will be a time to unify, educate, and empower parents across the country to defend their parental rights and advocate for change within the public school system. The event runs from Thursday, August 29 through Sunday, September 1. In the few years since Moms for Liberty was founded, 300 chapters have sprung up across the US in 48 states. Not just for moms, the group brings together parents, community members, and families who are intent on educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights across all levels of government, from local up to the federal level.

Trump, who has vowed to return control over education to the states, dismantling the biased Department of Education, fought for students' rights during his term in office. He ensured the right to do process on college campuses for those accused of misdeeds. Betsey DeVos, then-Education Secretary, brought suit against Connecticut for allowing boys who identify as trans to compete in girls' sports, denying girls the opportunity of fair play. Four of the high school athletes DeVos and Trump fought for during the administration are still locked in battle over Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, which first Barack Obama, then the Biden-Harris administration, remade via Department of Education guidelines to conflate biological sex with gender identity. This means that men who say they are women are entitled to enter female-only sex-segregated spaces and gain access to women's opportunities.
