Outside the Prince William School Board Meeting, Republican gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears and her running mate, John Reid stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Moms for Liberty - Prince William County in a powerful rally for parents’ rights.

Sears declared:
“We will not be driven into silence. This is not a Republican issue. This is not a Democratic issue. This is about parents’ rights.”

Rally signs carried bold messages like: “Parents for Winsome,” “We do not co-parent with the government,” and “Water fountains are for everyone.”

That last sign was a direct response to an Arlington School Board protester who held a sign comparing bathroom policies for transgender students to segregation-era water fountains. Prince William parents flipped the narrative to highlight the absurdity of that comparison- and to stand for fairness, truth, and parental authority.

Reid, breaking barriers as Virginia’s first openly gay conservative running statewide, reminded families: “You are not bigots for trying to protect the rights of your daughters.” His message echoed what brought so many out that night-parents from all walks of life united in defending their role in raising and protecting their children.
