Who Are the Moms for Liberty?
We live during a time when good is called evil and evil is called good. A time when teachers unions sue to protect reckless illegal alien truck drivers, claim the jihadist phrase “From the river to the sea” is a “rallying cry for peace,” and call mothers fighting to shield their children’s minds and bodies from harmful ideologies “domestic terrorists.”
Thankfully, such evilness is facing fierce headwinds from a good group of parents that has organized under the name Moms for Liberty. Radical leftist organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center have labeled Moms for Liberty a “hate group,” but what exactly has the group done to earn such a title? Well, it’s doing God’s work to expose the nihilistic left-wing rot hurting our children in public schools.
Moms for Liberty was founded in 2021 by two former Florida school board members after the Biden administration launched a crusade of government overreach and systemic attacks on parental rights in education. Joe Biden’s Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona was the first to start the Left’s trend of labeling concerned parents as “domestic terrorists” because they dared to believe it was their right to determine how their children were being educated.
Moms for Liberty consists of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and concerned citizens who have watched parents be demonized by Democrats. These members want to expose the Left’s harmful practices and give parents back their voices. This organization has been so successful that it actually managed to turn the tide on gender ideology in schools, COVID vaccine mandates, and other issues plaguing students and parents.
Why is the Left so threatened by Moms for Liberty? Because it’s exposing the neo-Marxist agenda saturating our children’s curriculum.
According to the SPLC, “The social media accounts and real-world activity of the national organization and its chapters reflect views and actions that are antigovernment and conspiracy propagandist, anti-LGBTQ and anti-gender identity, and anti-inclusive curriculum.”
This accusation is disingenuous.
Moms for Liberty is anti-critical race, a neo-Marxist theory that grants people levels of oppression based on their race, gender, and orientation. According to critical race ideology, the oppressors — i.e., the people who are white, male, and straight — are irredeemable unless they become dedicated and subservient “allies.”
Moms for Liberty is against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which is the same thing as critical race theory, just in a different package.
It’s against pornography in children’s books.
It’s against gender ideology and the LGBTQ indoctrination being peddled to kids. Parents want to be the ones shaping and orienting their children, not some activist groomer.
Moms for Liberty has student well-being and parental rights at the forefront of its mission.
