DCPS Promoted BrdsNBz Sex Textline Without Informing Parents

These advertisements were posted online (website and social media) and inside Duval County middle and high schools. At the time, the district message to parents was that they notify parents prior to a student receiving instruction on reproductive health. The district did not notify parents of this text line, in violation of state statute and their own parent guidebook. So, we did.

We were informed on 1.30.23 that DCPS has discontinued its contract with ASHA to provide this sex text line service. A win for parents!
