Keynote speaker: Andrea Widburg

Andrea is a lawyer and a writer and editor for American Thinker.  She has lived all over the world, she is a survivor of San Francisco public schools, a parent whose children graduated from Marin County public schools, and she has very strong opinions about what is happening in education today.  

We will hear from two school board members: Leah Whatley, Chairwoman of Committee of the Whole and Keith Grybowski, Chairman of Audit & Finance Committee.

CHARTER SCHOOL PROPOSAL AND UPDATE:

We will hear from the Headmaster with Ashley River Academy which is scheduled to open in Mt. Pleasant in the FALL of 2024.  This school uses the Hillsdale K-12 curriculum.  We will also have an update from Ascent Classical Academy, another charter school that uses Hillsdale curriculum.  

We will also discuss our goals for 2023, give you a legislative update, and hear important announcements from leaders in our community, including Lee Runyon.    

Please note as we get into the holiday season board meetings, and work sessions for each district may change dates, and times slightly. We do our best to keep our calendar as up-to-date as possible but its always best to double-check times and dates on the website of the district. Also please note that severe weather may change the times and locations of board meetings and work sessions as well. All announcements for this will be made on the district website.
