Board of Education meetings are typically held on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Learning Center* at the administration building and are open to the public. Portions of meetings may sometimes be closed for private executive session, which is indicated on the meeting agenda. Public comments are taken at the beginning of each regular meeting. In addition, most meetings are live streamed on the district's YouTube channel.
Board of Education members represent separate geographical areas within Lewis-Palmer School District. These areas should not be confused with attendance boundaries; rather, they are intended to divide the district into areas of equal population. The Board serves as a representative of the community in providing direction for district programs and ensuring that the school system is efficiently and effectively operated. In fulfilling this responsibility, the board concerns itself primarily with adopting policy, planning school services, and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of district services. The Biden Administration’s recent changes to Title IX harm females and violate free speech.
Male students who identify as female will have access to facilities designated as female-only spaces such as bathrooms, changing rooms, locker rooms, showers, and sleeping accommodations, and to participate in women’s sports and organizations.
Female athletes will be denied opportunities to join sports teams, win titles, and obtain athletic scholarships to compete and study at the collegiate level.
Students and teachers must submit to compelled speech rules and lose free speech protections.
You must register online to speak at the school board meeting during public comment. Public comment occurs within the first thirty minutes of the meeting.

Inform the board that the changes should not be implemented because:
Numerous states, including Tennessee, have filed lawsuits against the Title IX changes.
Other states are taking action to halt implementation and we should follow their lead.
