Known for his thoughtful and compassionate, results-driven leadership style, Dr. Asplen is committed to fostering community & progress, reducing the achievement gap, and working collaboratively with the School Board, school communities, and families of Sarasota County to provide the best example and high-quality education for our students.
Prior to accepting the Sarasota position, Dr. Brennan Asplen was deputy superintendent in charge of academic and student services for St. Johns County Schools and president of the Florida Association of School Administrators. Dr. Asplen has also served as a principal at both middle and high schools.
